What I do

I'm an Associate Professor at CICESE Research Center in Ensenada, Baja California, México, where I head the Collaborative Information Retrieval and Filtering Group. My main area of research is the retrieval of unsolicited information from organizational memory.

I did my PhD at working at the Intelligent Engineering Systems Laboratory in the KAPS Project. I hold an M.Sc. from MIT where I did thesis work in the areas of Object-Oriented Technologies and Computational Mechanics. I hold a degree in Civil Engineer from UNAM in México.
