Research in Computing and Image Processing
The Computing Group carries out research into the applications of computers across the whole range of medical applications. The major focus of the group is on image processing, analysis and interpretation, but there is also work carried out on parallel and high-performance computation, computer-aided diagnosis and novel techniques and methods such as Neural networks and Genetic Algorithms.

Image Processing Research Dept
From early 1996 to early 2002 I was head of the Image Processing Research Department at AT&T Labs-Research. Despite my group's name, much of our work and background was in machine learning, pattern recognition, and computer vision as much as in image processing.

The Computer Vision Homepage
The Computer Vision Homepage was established at Carnegie Mellon University in 1994 to provide a central location for World Wide Web links relating to computer vision research. Due to the success of the concept, we have broken the original monolithic site into a number of specific subpages. The emphasis of the Computer Vision Homepage is on computer vision research rather than on commercial products. The growth and continued usefulness of the this site depends on submissions and suggestions from everyone in the computer vision community.

SOFTWARE

Bersoft Image Measuremen
Runs under Windows 9.x/NT and it is intended to measure length, angle, segments, perimeter and area in digital images. It can be used in multiple scientific disciplines, such as Biology, Ecology, Geography, Agronomy, and Natural Sciences. It also can export matrixes (Exporting RGB values) with the decimal or hexadecimal values of the image pixels. The DEMO version can realize all the functions, but only over images saved in a propietary format: Image Bersoft Bitmap.
