Cada
dos años se organiza este Coloquio en las instalaciones del
CICESE, con el fin de reunir los trabajos mas recientes en la zona
del Pacífico Oriental. Esta idea empezó en 1998 con
el 25 Aniversario del CICESE. Posteriormente se editó el
primer Volumen de la serie "Oceanography of the Eastern Pacific"
con algunos de los trabajos presentados en dicha reunión.
Se estarán recibiendo resumenes para presentación
en modalidad de poster, hasta el 9 de de 2002.
De nuevo se aceptaran trabajos inéditos para editar el Volumen
III de la Serie. Los trabajos deberán ser sometidos durante
el Coloquio. Por primera vez, este volumen será un número
especial de la revista Deep-Sea Research; por lo que se les pide
seguir el formato exigido por dicha revista para la redacción
de las publicaciones que sean sometidas; estas deberán ser
en Ingles (ver "Instrucciones para autores").
Every
two years, the colloquium is organized at the facilities of the Center
for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada (CICESE).
The primary goal is to bring together the most recent research performed
on oceanography of the Eastern Pacific. The idea for the Symposium
first arose in 1998 to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of CICESE.
Following the 1998 Symposium, the first volume of the series "Oceanography
of the Eastern Pacific" was published, containing some of the
papers presented at the meeting.
In
addition, abstracts for poster presentations will be accepted until
9, 2002.
Once
again, manuscripts will be considered for publication in Volume
III of the series. All manuscripts must be submitted in English
and during the Symposium. Accepted manuscripts will be published
in a special issue of Deep Sea Research. Hence, the format must
follow the specifications outlined by that journal.
